LP to CD is a process by which your vinyl LP is converted to CD.

We thoroughly clean your LP with a special process using distilled water, which removes any dust from the grooves of the vinyl record and leaves no mineral deposits or soap residue on the surface of the grooves. We then play the LP on a high-quality, belt-driven turntable while recording the audio. We play the record one time, after setting proper levels to the recording software. The equipment we use to record the audio is the same state-of-the-art equipment we use to record instruments and vocals in our recording studio. The highest resolution digital audio recorded at 24-bit word-length, 192kHz sample rate is used in order to capture every nuance of the sound on the original vinyl LP.

We then create your CD, maintaining the original pauses between tracks, unless otherwise specified (see special editing below), package the CD in a jewel case with a CD insert with a copy of the original front cover album art.

The cost per LP is $25, plus packing and shipping for return to you. Each additional CD copy of the same LP is $10. For most orders, we usually ship the LPs and CDs back to you in 5 to 7 days.

Return shipping charge is $7.50 for 1 to 4 LPs, $10 for 5 to 9 LPs, FREE RETURN SHIPPING if you send us 10 or more LPs.  We suggest you ship them to us via UPS, Fedex, DHL or USPS priority mail. If possible, let us know by e-mail that your LP(s) are on their way.

Discalaimer: Your CD will contain every sound that is on the original LP. If the LP is scratched, those scratches will produce clicks and pops associated with a scratched LP. Valan Productions is not responsible for damage to your LPs during shipping.

Click and pop removal: We have software that can remove clicks and pops to a degree, but will not completely remove all clicks and pops associated with scratched LPs. The cost of this service varies depending on the severity of the scratches on the LP. Minimum charge for click and pop removal is $20 per LP.

Special editing, such as arranging tracks differently from the LP, or shortening or lengthening pauses between tracks is possible for an extra fee. Prices for special editing varies depending upon the amount of editing needed. Call or email with special editing requests.
